The Chevy Chase Land Company Announces Mi Cocina Restaurant to join
The Collection at Chevy Chase
Today, The Chevy Chase Land Company of Montgomery County, Md. announced a new restaurant slated to join the luxury retailers that comprise The Collection at Chevy Chase. Mi Cocina is a highly styled restaurant specializing in hand-crafted, fresh Tex Mex executed with a contemporary flair. Mi Cocina is part of MCrowd Restaurant Group based in Dallas with 21 restaurants in Texas, Oklahoma and Atlanta.
Land Company President David Smith said “We are thrilled to welcome Mi Cocina to Friendship Heights, and to the Washington Metro area. We think that it will be a great fit for The Collection, and for the shopping area as a whole.” He continued “Mi Cocina will be a vibrant addition to an already exciting mix of retailers and restaurants here in Friendship Heights.”
Among Mi Cocina’s current locations is Highland Park Village in Dallas, a luxury shopping destination with similar retailers to those at The Collection. The Friendship Heights restaurant is currently slated to open in March of 2013. Ray Washburne, Founder and Owner of Mi Cocina, is thrilled to expand the concept into the Chevy Chase area. “The Collection is the perfect location for Mi Cocina. Our guests are the very same guests who shop at The Collection and appreciate quality and style,” Washburne said. “I look forward to the opening next spring,” he added.
