The Chevy Chase Land Company of Montgomery County, Maryland is a 120-year-old development and property management company located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The Company is distinguished from other property management firms by its historic background and by the tradition of managing its own properties. The Chairman of the Board of the Company, Gavin M. Farr, was the great-grandson of Senator Francis G. Newlands, founder of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Under Mr. Farr's direction, the Company continued to fulfill Senator Newlands' vision. Today, The Chevy Chase Land Company owns and manages two million square feet of office buildings, retail, and warehouse complexes in Washington, DC, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia, residential properties in Montgomery County and four office buildings in Richmond, Virginia.
