Geoffrey S. Flaherty , CFO and Vice President Geoffrey S. Flaherty is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of The Chevy Chase Land Company of Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Flaherty oversees the Accounting and Finance department and has over 13 years of experience in real estate.
Prior to joining The Chevy Chase Land Company, Mr. Flaherty worked in the Real Estate department of AIG SunAmercia in Bethesda, Maryland for six years. At AIG SunAmercia he was responsible for managing and overseeing the initiation, closing, financial analysis and due diligence of many real estate investment transactions as well as presenting investment opportunities to the Acquisition and Debt Committee. Prior to his employment with AIG SunAmercia, Mr. Flaherty worked six years for The Reznick Group in Bethesda, Maryland as an audit manager overseeing audits, financial reporting and tax return preparation for multiple private and public real estate investment funds and partnerships.
Mr. Flaherty is a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Washington DC Real Estate Group. He graduated from Kutztown University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has volunteered significant time to Special Olympics and various other charitable organizations. Mr. Flaherty is a native of Philadelphia and currently resides in Rockville with his wife and two children. |
